iOS 1.1.1
- We've streamlined the sign-in process and made it more secure. You'll no longer need to remember a password to sign in. Just enter your email address and we’ll send you a temporary code that you'll use to sign in. The two-factor authentication nature of using an email address + sign-in codes also makes the sign-in process more secure.
- We've improved Bluetooth connectivity between the app and the Apollo device. We've been hearing reports since launch of people losing connectivity some amount of time after they initially connect to their Apollo (sometimes days, sometimes weeks after the initial connection). These reports lead us to investigate our Bluetooth code at a deeper level, where we found and patched some holes. Constantly improving Bluetooth connectivity between the app and the device is a priority for us, so please let us know if you continue to experience connection issues.
- We’ve added in-app firmware updates, so you’ll get notified automatically when firmware updates are available. The alerts take two forms: one as a system alert from your mobile device and one as notification that shows on the home view when firmware updates are available. With the system alert, you can choose to update now or later. Choosing to update later will snooze the notification for 24 hours.
- We've improved the usability of the functions on the "Connecting to your Apollo" view. We've heard a lot of reports regarding the confusion of the "Forget this Apollo" link that was shown on this view in the previous version of the app. The confusion is that forgetting an Apollo in the app vs. forgetting an Apollo via a mobile device's system settings are two separate actions. We clarified the language of forgetting an Apollo in the app by changing it to "Detach this Apollo" and moved the action to a separate view, so we could add details around what that action means and when someone would want to complete it.
- We've improved the visual styles and usability for text inputs. This is still a work in progress, so expect an overhaul of how the text inputs look in a future release.
- We've improved the usability of system alerts by adding clear questions as the headers with directly related clear actions as the main action in the alert.
- We've updated the styles of a number of layouts and elements app-wide for better usability and visual consistency.
- We've added labels to the height and weight pickers when finishing a profile during the signup process.
- We've improved error state language in a number of places.
- The term "waves" was being used in reference to the modes in certain places in the app. We've updated everything to "modes" for clarity and consistency.
