How to Force Close an application
You should close an app only if it’s unresponsive. The way you close an app depends on the type of device that you have, whether it is an iPhone or an Android phone.
iPhone X and later
- From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen.
- Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.
- Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.
iPhone SE, iPhone 8 and earlier, and iPod touch
- Double-click the Home button to show your most recently used apps.
- Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close.
- Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.

Android devices
- Open the Settings application.
- Select the Apps or Apps & Notifications option.
- You may need to select See all apps to view all opened applications.
- Tap the application you wish to force close.
- Choose the Force Stop option.
- Confirm your decision by selecting OK.
